Standardize your quality inspections using ISO 2859-1 AQL 1.5% limits. Calculate sampling sizes and production lead-times for bulk textile runs.
In global garment and fabric procurement, AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) 1.5% is the industry benchmark for "Major Defects." It defines the statistical limit of defects allowed in a batch before the entire order is rejected. Our tool uses the ISO 2859-1 "Normal Inspection" table to calculate your sample size and the maximum allowable defect count, ensuring your QC team is focused on high-risk areas.
The entire batch is technically rejected. The factory must then perform a 100% inspection to remove all defective units or re-process the fabric to meet the standards before re-submitting for QC.
Luxury brands often move to AQL 1.0% or even AQL 0.65%, which drastically reduces the allowable defect count and increases the sampling size for higher precision.
